About Emily
Emily worked with the award-winning Alice Public Relations for seven years, where she directed Alice’s work for clients across a range of sectors, including arts and culture, housing, education and social justice campaigns. She has led and implemented award winning PR campaigns, delivered training on topics from spokespersons coaching to PR 101, developed communications strategies and importantly, had plenty of fun along the way. She was motivated to set out on her own to allow a greater balance of life and work and the opportunity to nurture other interests.
The name Birch was inspired by her love for nature and the power of being outdoors. In folklore and mythology, Birch is a tree of new beginnings, which feels apt for this new venture.
She loves music and going to gigs and cultural events. When she’s not working you will also likely find her wandering in the woods or on the beach, or gardening with her dog Fig by her side. From Tipperary, she lives in Dún Laoghaire. She sits on the board of the NXF, with specific responsibility for organising the annual GALAS awards, and plays a bit of camogie in her free time. She still thinks she might play county one day…
